Job Description:
Payroll Assistant Accountant ( UAE National )
Abu Dhabi - UAE
We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated graduate to join our finance team as a Payroll Assistant Accountant. The candidate will support payroll processing and assist with basic accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely salary disbursement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in processing monthly payroll for employees
- Maintain and update employee payroll records
- Calculate salaries, overtime, unpaid leave and deductions etc.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and labor laws
- Handle employee payroll-related queries
- Support month-end closing activities
- Assist with reconciliations and financial reports
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce (B.Com/BBA)
- Fresh graduate or up to 1 year of experience
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles
- Strong MS Excel skills
- Good numerical and analytical ability
- Attention to detail and confidentiality
- Basic knowledge of payroll systems/software is a plus
Preferred Skills:
- Time Management and ability to meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with payroll software
- Understanding of GCC labor law and WPS system
- Good communication skills
