Testimonials
When I joined Parsons 6 years ago, I had accumulated 28 years of experience working in project management in power generation, manufacturing, distribution, oil and gas refineries, pharmaceutical facilities, and demolition projects for middle and large size corporations. On my bucket list was to work ‘across the pond’/overseas. After working stateside for over 4 years, Parsons presented me with the opportunity to work in Saudi Arabia. I was made aware of the challenges of the project I was assigned to and was starting to second guess my decision to make the move. But during separate discussions with my 2 grown sons, they both stated, “Mom, ‘what-if’. If you don’t accept the challenge, you will always be wondering, what if you would have gone.” So here I am working in Saudi Arabia going on close to 2 years. What an opportunity Parsons has given me! The transition has been rough at times but amazing other times. Being from farmland Mid-America, although America is deemed the ‘Melting Pot’, I personally had not been exposed to the diversity of cultures that I have been here in Saudi Arabia. I will never regret accepting the challenge. I encourage anyone who is even remotely thinking of working outside their native land, to go for it. Parsons’ support gives you the ability to succeed. Thank you, Parsons for entrusting me with this opportunity and providing the support. And always remember, ‘What-If’.
Sheri Kloth-Blecha
Director of Project Controls, SAPL
I began my career at Parsons' Dubai branch in April 2023 as a Junior Mechanical Engineer, where I thrived in a high-pressure environment. During my first week, I swiftly assimilated the standards mandated by Dubai authorities, which enabled me to contribute effectively to the team's urgent projects. My six-month experience there was immensely rewarding, characterized by a collaborative and supportive working atmosphere. Upon encountering a personal issue, I proactively communicated with HR to convey my desire to remain within the organization and requested a transfer to the Abu Dhabi branch. I was pleased to receive their approval and moved to the Abu Dhabi branch in October 2023. I dedicated myself to my tasks and aimed to enhance my expertise by visiting the Mina tunnel site. I am truly grateful for the opportunity to advance from the technical team to the project management team, where I now serve as an Assistant Project Manager.
