Parsons In Canada

We have contributed to major infrastructure projects across Canada since the 1940's. Across the country, our teams are on the cutting edge of infrastructure engineering, and have helped design and build many of the country's well-known landscapes, including the Regina Bypass, Turcot Exchange, Kicking Horse Canyon, Olivier-Charbonneau Bridge, Gordie Howe International Bridge, Highway 401, Gardiner Expressway Rehabilitation Project, Highway 400 & Major Mackenzie Drive, and La Fontaine Tunnel. Our experts have also worked with transit agencies around the country, helping the Toronto Subway, GO Transit network, Vancouver SkyTrain and the Edmonton Light Rail Transit improve mobility in their communities.

Our Canada team works across multiple provinces with engineers, project controllers, architects, technical staff, and project management professionals located in Quebec, Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, British Columbia, Northwest Territories, Nova Scotia, and the Yukon.

We deliver domain expertise across multiple disciplines, including:

  • Design Build and Alternative Methods (P3s)

Featured Projects

Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada

Regina Bypass Project

Parsons, as part of a consortium including three other firms (VINCI Concessions, Connor Clark & Lunn GVest Fund, and Gracorp Capital), was designated by the Government of Saskatchewan as the preferred proponent for a public-private partnership (P3) contract for the bypass highway of Regina—the provincial capital of Saskatchewan, Canada.

Ottawa, Canada

Elgin Street Renewal

We were the lead consultant for the planning, design and construction of Elgin Street, a prominent Mainstreet in the downtown core of Canada’s capital. The City of Ottawa capitalized on the planned renewal of underground storm and sewer infrastructure along 13 blocks (1.2 km) of the street by including street level reconstruction.

Ontario, Canada

West Vaughan Sewage Tunnel

We are providing detailed design services for a new sewer main and pumping station upgrade to provide additional capacity for future development in Vaughan. The work includes the construction of the Tunnel Phase 1 trunk sewer and related shafts. The sewer will be approximately 11 km long with a 3.0 m internal diameter.

Montréal, Canada

Canal Lachine Bridge

The new Canal Lachine Bridge in Montréal, Canada, designed by Parsons, is the first curved extradosed bridge with multiple steel box girders and a composite concrete deck. The clearance envelope for the canal, in combination with the given Profile-Grade-Line (PGL) and the meaningful crossfall of 6%, were decisive for the superstructure concept, which had to bridge an 88-m (289-feet) long main span with an only 2-m (6.6-feet) deep girder along the inner curve.

Testimonials
One of my favourite things about Parsons is the team I work with and the supportive environment that we have. We work collaboratively, we are open and honest with each other, and we support each other. I have always been given the right level of guidance and autonomy which can be a hard balance to strike. I value that I get to work with technical experts across Parsons, not just my local team. It is always a pleasure getting to team up with others at Parsons who have so much knowledge and expertise to combine our strengths to excel and succeed.

I began my journey at Parsons as a Civil Engineering intern 12 years ago, and I am immensely grateful for the experience. Thanks to the mentorship of expert and talented professionals during my journey, I can now mentor the next generation in my role as a Supervising Engineer while contributing to significant Transportation projects that enhance daily life for many. Parsons is an exceptional environment for learning, growth, and collaboration with outstanding colleagues.
Robert Politano
Supervising Engineer
As the leader of Parsons’ Canadian Environmental and Mine Reclamation business, I am proud of our amazing team, who are providing innovative approaches and solutions to clean up some of the largest and most challenging contaminated sites. Parsons’ leadership team has supported our teams’ growth as we’ve expanded our service offering and taken on larger and more complex projects, which has continued to provide career growth opportunities for our team. I feel privileged to work for a company that truly embraces its core values as the foundation for all key decisions and actions, as exemplified by Parsons being named one of the world’s most ethical companies. I’ve been with Parsons for over 25 years, and I’m more excited than ever about the future of our team and the corporation as we continue to deliver for our clients and make the world a better place.
