Job Description:

Parsons is looking for a talented Vertical Construction Manager, Airports to join our team! In this role you will get to work on the Austin Bergstrom International Airport.

We are seeking experienced Construction Managers to oversee vertical construction projects within the concourse and terminal areas at AUS. This role will support both new construction and renovation efforts, ensuring all work aligns with project specifications, regulatory standards, and stakeholder expectations.

Ideal candidates will have a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in the construction industry, along with a solid understanding of current environmental codes and regulatory requirements applicable to airport-related construction. Candidates will be well-versed in all phases of vertical building construction, familiar with minimum code requirements, and capable of navigating design documents and contract specifications with confidence. Strong communication skills are essential, as the role involves coordination not only with the Contractor but also with a wide range of stakeholders, including the AUS executive team, Airlines, AUS Operations, Environmental teams, and others. Proficiency in Bluebeam, Microsoft Office Suite, Procore, and SharePoint are required.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Manage and oversee all phases of vertical construction within concourse and terminal areas, ensuring compliance with approved plans, specifications, and regulatory standards.
• Coordinate daily activities with contractors and a broad range of stakeholders, including the AUS executive team, Airlines, Operations, and Environmental teams.
• Review and evaluate contractor schedules, monitor progress, and identify potential risks or delays.
• Support the change management process by assessing proposed changes and facilitating necessary approvals.
• Navigate and interpret design documents, technical specifications, and contract requirements with accuracy and confidence.
• Ensure construction activities meet minimum code requirements and quality standards.
• Communicate effectively across teams to resolve field issues and maintain project momentum.
• Participate in project meetings and contribute to decision-making and issue resolution.
• Provide field oversight and documentation, including daily inspection reports and tracking of deficiencies.
• Collaborate with inspectors and project managers to verify installed quantities and support pay application reviews.
• Be available for occasional night-time work as required by project schedules or operational needs.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in the construction industry, with a focus on vertical building projects.
• Must show a track record of multi-level projects involving complex structural steel, cast-in place concrete, and large-scale HVAC/MEP systems.
• Experience executing major building works inside fully operational, high-occupancy environments without disrupting existing passenger or vehicle traffic flows.
• Working knowledge of the International Building Code (IBC), NFPA 101 (Life Safety Code), and strict Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards.
• Demonstrated aviation-related construction experience, including work on or around airport terminals and improvement projects.
• Ability to successfully pass a TSA criminal background check.
• Strong understanding of environmental codes and regulatory requirements relevant to airport construction.
• Proficiency in Bluebeam, Microsoft Office Suite, Procore, Primavera 6 and SharePoint
• Familiarity with building codes and standards, and ability to interpret design documents and contract specifications.
• Valid Driver’s License

Salary Range: $103,500.00 - $181,100.00
