Dry Utilities Inspector (Electrical)
Abu Dhabi, UAE

We are seeking a Dry Utilities Inspector (Electrical) to oversee the installation, maintenance, and compliance of electrical dry utility systems on construction sites. This position focuses on ensuring that all electrical utility works are executed according to approved designs, standards, and regulations while maintaining safety and quality. Below is a detailed breakdown of the roles and responsibilities for this position:

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Inspect the installation of electrical dry utility systems, ensuring proper alignment, levels, and gradients.

  • Verify that all electrical works comply with approved designs, specifications, and industry standards.

  • Monitor materials and workmanship to ensure high-quality standards are maintained.

  • Witness and verify system testing (e.g., electrical continuity testing, insulation resistance testing).

  • Oversee the commissioning of electrical utility systems to ensure they are fully operational and meet project requirements.

  • Work closely with contractors, subcontractors, and utility service providers to address any issues related to electrical utilities.

  • Liaise with project engineers and managers to resolve discrepancies and implement design changes.

  • Ensure all electrical utility works are carried out safely and in compliance with regulations.

  • Monitor environmental practices, such as waste disposal and adherence to sustainable construction practices.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in electrical utility systems inspection.

  • Strong knowledge of electrical dry utility systems and infrastructure.

  • Familiarity with industry standards and codes (e.g., IEC, BS, IEEE, or local regulations).

  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical utility drawings and specifications.

  • Excellent communication and reporting skills to collaborate with diverse teams.

  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices for electrical utility works.

  • Experience with trenching, excavation, and backfilling processes related to electrical utilities.
