Job Description:

At Parsons, we engineer mission-first solutions that support national security and critical infrastructure. We are currently seeking a Software Engineer with a strong focus on front-end development and data visualization to build user-centric tools that empower cyber operators and mission planners.

This role will lead the development of a Team Management Dashboard to support Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO)—enabling planning, coordination, and decision-making at mission speed.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Lead the design and implementation of intuitive, responsive user interfaces tailored to mission-critical planning activities.
• Build and maintain a Team Management Dashboard that supports task tracking, resource planning, and operational coordination for cyber defense teams.
• Work closely with DCO analysts, mission planners, and back-end developers to ensure the UI reflects real operational needs and workflows.
• Integrate with data APIs and real-time data feeds to surface relevant mission data in interactive, visual formats.
• Ensure interfaces are performant, accessible, and secure—meeting all relevant compliance and usability standards.
• Iterate rapidly in an agile development environment and support user feedback loops for continuous improvement.

What Required Skills You’ll Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in UI/UX development with modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, Vue, etc.).
• Proficiency in HTML/CSS, data-driven UI design, and working with RESTful APIs.
• Experience designing dashboards or mission interfaces that integrate real-time or large-scale data.
• Ability to work closely with operational users and translate their requirements into intuitive visual solutions.
• Familiarity with agile software development practices and version control (Git).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance
• Experience supporting DCO, cybersecurity, or military operations in a software engineering capacity.
• Background in data visualization libraries (e.g., D3.js, Chart.js) or spatial/temporal visualization tools.
• Understanding of secure UI development practices and federal accessibility standards (Section 508 compliance).
• Familiarity with Figma, Adobe XD, or similar prototyping tools.

Salary Range: $120,800.00 - $217,400.00
