Senior CAD Supervisor

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior CAD Supervisor to join our team! In this role, you will supervise the team in creating detailed and accurate CAD drawings for various infrastructure projects, including utilities, roads, lighting networks, and other related structures. You will work closely with design engineers to ensure that the drawings meet the highest standards and comply with client specifications.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Supervises the team to produce detailed CAD drawings based on engineering notes, specifications, rough sketches, and marked-up drawings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established standards.

• Work closely with design engineers to develop and detail utilities, road networks, lighting systems, and other infrastructure-related structures such as pump stations and substations.

• Perform dimensional and routine calculations required for drawing preparation, checking layouts and designs for accuracy and making adjustments where necessary.

• Collaborate with the CAD manager, project engineers, and other team members to ensure the drawings meet contract responsibilities and comply with applicable industry standards.

• Use CAD software (AutoCAD, Microstation) to create layouts, assemblies, and isometric drawings from rough sketches and engineering design instructions.

• Maintain and organize all CAD drawings, ensuring proper backup and version control.

• Ensure the drawings are produced to a professional standard for client presentations and project reviews.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor in Civil Engineering with at least 25 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in consultancy firms working on infrastructure projects.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Microstation and Projectwise, with the ability to create detailed and accurate drawings for a variety of infrastructure projects.

• Familiarity with industry-standard design/drafting practices, techniques, and software.

• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for reporting and documentation.

• Experience with other civil engineering software tools, such as Civil 3D, BIM, or similar.

• Ability to work independently and proactively, with minimal supervision.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
