QA/QC Inspector (Electrical)

Qatar

Parsons is looking for an experienced and talented QA/QC Inspector (Electrical) to join our team in Qatar! In this role, you will ensure that all electrical installations and equipment meet project specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. You will play a critical role in inspecting, monitoring, and documenting electrical works to ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Conduct inspections to verify that electrical work complies with contract specifications, relevant standards, and regulations.
• Perform inspection activities for electrical installations, including traffic signals, ramp metering, street lighting, Medium Voltage (MV), Low Voltage (LV), and Extra Low Voltage (ELV) systems.
• Maintain project-related office files, quantity calculations, and daily diaries.
• Prepare daily reports and other documentation as required by the contract.
• Verify that only approved materials are incorporated into the work.
• Perform labor compliance interviews and maintain as-built plans.
• Identify potential conflicts, issues, and problems, propose possible solutions, and advise the supervisor.
• Collect, review, and file Certificates of Compliance, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), inspection tags, and other material-related documentation.
• Report installed quantities to verify applications for payment and change order work.
• Assist in the development of job safety practices and reports.
• Support the creation of quality control procedures and reports.
• Document nonconformance and participate in determining appropriate resolutions.
• Provide technical guidance to lower-level inspectors as needed.
• Perform work in a safe manner, ensuring public safety and adherence to safety protocols.
• Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in electrical construction, inspection, or a related field, preferably as an electrical inspector in a consultancy or engineering environment.
• MMUP-certified Engineer is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles and familiarity with local and international electrical codes and standards, including Kahramaa standards and QCS specifications.
• Familiarity with inspection tools and equipment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.

• Effective diary and reporting skills with a thorough understanding of scheduling.
