Job Description:
Parsons is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Project Control Data Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data management, reporting, and analytics, with expertise in Power BI, data structures, and integration across systems. This role is critical to ensuring that data is structured effectively, integrated seamlessly, and transformed into actionable insights to support project control and decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Management & Structuring:
Evaluate and optimize data structures to ensure accuracy, consistency, and efficiency.
Work collaboratively to ensure data is structured correctly for reporting and analytics purposes.
Manage large datasets and ensure data integrity across multiple systems.
Power BI Reporting:
Design, develop, and maintain advanced Power BI dashboards and reports to provide actionable insights.
Create visualizations and reports that effectively communicate complex data to stakeholders.
Ensure reports are tailored to meet business needs and project control requirements.
Systems Integration:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data from various systems, tables, APIs, and databases.
Ensure seamless data flow between systems to support real-time reporting and analytics.
Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues to maintain data accuracy and reliability.
Data Analysis & Mining:
Perform data mining to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies that impact project performance.
Provide recommendations based on data analysis to improve project control processes.
Utilize advanced analytical techniques to support business decisions.
Collaboration & Communication:
Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements.
Translate business needs into technical solutions and reporting frameworks.
Communicate findings and insights effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Qualifications:
Experience:
Minimum of 5+ years of experience in data management, analytics, and reporting.
Proven expertise in Power BI, including report creation, dashboard design, and data visualization.
Strong experience with data structures, integration, and systems management.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in working with APIs, databases, and tables for seamless data integration.
Advanced knowledge of data mining techniques and business intelligence tools.
Familiarity with ETL processes and data transformation workflows.
Soft Skills:
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in project control or construction-related industries.
Knowledge of Parsons systems and processes is a plus.
Certifications in Power BI or other data analytics tools are highly desirable.
