Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Procurement Representative to join our team! In this role you will get to manage the procurement process, sourcing goods and services, negotiating contracts, and ensuring all purchases align with company requirements, budget, and quality standards.
What You'll be Doing;
- Sourcing and Vendor Management: Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate pricing and terms, and maintain relationships with vendors to ensure the best value and quality for the company.
- Procurement Process Management: Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including preparing and issuing purchase orders, managing order tracking, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.
- Contract Negotiation: Negotiate and finalize contracts with suppliers and service providers, ensuring favorable terms, compliance with regulations, and alignment with company goals.
- Budget and Cost Control: Ensure that all procurement activities stay within the allocated budget and that cost savings are achieved without compromising quality or delivery schedules.
- Quality Assurance: Collaborate with internal teams to ensure that procured items meet company specifications and quality standards.
- Inventory Management: Assist in inventory control by ensuring the right quantity of products is available while avoiding overstocking or stockouts.
- Compliance and Documentation: Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and industry regulations. Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions, contracts, and communications.
- Reporting: Prepare regular reports on procurement activities, supplier performance, cost savings, and inventory status to inform management decisions.
- Risk Management: Proactively manage risks related to supply chain disruptions, price fluctuations, and vendor performance to minimize negative impacts on operations.
What Required Skill's You'll Bring;
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Experience: At least [5] years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management, preferably in [industry-specific details].
- Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable terms and pricing from vendors and suppliers.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to evaluate supplier performance, identify cost-saving opportunities, and optimize the procurement process.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with vendors, internal teams, and management effectively.
- Organization: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple tasks, orders, and contracts simultaneously.
- Tools & Technologies: Proficiency in procurement software, ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Certification in Procurement or Supply Chain Management (e.g., CPSM, CIPS).
- Experience in [industry-specific procurement, e.g., construction, technology, etc.
- Familiarity with contract law and procurement regulations.
