Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Risk & Reporting Manager to join our team! In this role you will get to Own the risk and reporting function across the project — establishing the risk management framework, driving quantitative analysis of schedule and cost exposure, and delivering the reporting suite that gives the Client a single, trusted source of truth on project performance.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Develop and implement risk management strategies and plans for construction projects.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks to ensure successful project delivery.
- Monitor and report on project risks and progress to senior management and stakeholders.
- Prepare detailed risk assessments and reports, including risk registers and mitigation plans.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment of risk management objectives.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Utilize risk management and reporting software and tools to track and report on project status.
- Run Quantitative Risk Analysis (QSRA/QCRA) using Primavera Risk Analysis, Safran, or @RISK; produce P50/P80 outputs to inform contingency drawdown and schedule float management
- Produce the monthly Project Progress Report, Client dashboards, and Executive/Steering Committee packs — integrating programme, cost, HSE, quality, and risk data.
- Define and track project KPIs and Earned Value metrics; investigate variances and escalate trends with recommended mitigation.
- Build and maintain automated reporting tools (Power BI, Excel, Primavera P6 exports) to reduce manual reporting cycles.
- Interface with Cost Control and Planning to align contingency, trend, and change management with the risk position.
- Conduct regular risk reviews and update risk management plans as necessary.
- Provide training and support to project teams on risk management practices.
- Manage project documentation and ensure all records are up-to-date.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Project Management, or related field.
- 12+ years total experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a dedicated risk and/or reporting role on major infrastructure projects.
- Proven track record of managing risks for large-scale construction projects.
- Demonstrated experience on underpasses, tunnels, bridges, or highway grade-separation works in dense urban environments.
- Strong knowledge of risk management principles, methods, and regulations.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
- Advanced proficiency in risk management and reporting software and tools (e.g., Primavera P6, Primavera Risk Analysis, Power BI, RiskWatch, ARM, MS Project).
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong working knowledge of Earned Value Management and quantitative risk techniques (Monte Carlo simulation, sensitivity analysis).
- Excellent written English; ability to present complex data clearly to senior Client stakeholders.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification.
- Certification in risk management (e.g., PMI-RMP).
- Experience with PMCM services.
- Master’s degree in Construction Management, Project Management, or related field.
