Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Landscape Horticulture Engineer to join our team! The Landscape Horticulture Engineer (Construction Supervision) is responsible for overseeing the implementation of landscape projects on construction sites. This role ensures that all horticultural and landscape elements are installed according to design specifications, project timelines, and quality standards. The engineer will work closely with contractors, landscape architects, and project managers to ensure successful project completion. In this role you will get to work on one of the unique Hospitality projects in the kingdom.
What You'll Be Doing:
Supervise the installation of landscape and horticultural elements on construction sites, ensuring adherence to design plans and specifications.
Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with project requirements.
Coordinate with contractors, landscape architects, and other stakeholders to address any issues or discrepancies that arise during construction.
Ensure that all plant materials, soil amendments, and other landscape elements meet specified standards and are installed correctly.
Provide technical guidance and support to construction teams on horticultural practices, plant care, and sustainable landscaping techniques.
Monitor project timelines and budgets, ensuring that projects are completed on schedule and within financial constraints.
Prepare and maintain detailed records of site inspections, progress reports, and any changes to the project scope.
Ensure compliance with local regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines.
Address and resolve any on-site challenges or conflicts that may impact the successful completion of the project.
Stay updated on industry best practices, new technologies, and advancements in landscape horticulture.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, Environmental Science, or a related field.
Professional certification or licensure in landscape architecture or horticulture is preferred.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in landscape, horticulture, or a related field.
Strong knowledge of plant species, soil science, and sustainable landscaping practices.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting landscape design plans and construction documents.
Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical ability to conduct site visits and inspections, including standing, walking, and climbing.
