Job Description:

Parsons is looking for a talented Instructional Designer to join our team and provide employees on the Overseas Security Installation Services II (OSIS II) contract learning experiences that will help them gain new technical skillsets.  In this role you will be responsible for creating, developing, and maintaining instructional materials across multiple technical domains. This role involves collaborating with subject matter experts (SMEs) to create engaging and interactive content that meets a wide variety of educational needs. The Instructional Designer will utilize a variety of instructional design methodologies and technologies to enhance learning outcomes.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Collaborate with SMEs to identify learning objectives and develop course content.
  • Design and develop instructional materials, including e-learning modules, instructor-led training, job aids, and assessments.
  • Incorporate multimedia elements such as graphics, audio, and video to enhance learning.
  • Develop and implement evaluation tools to assess the effectiveness of instructional materials.
  • Revise and update content based on feedback and evaluation results.
  • Stay current with trends and best practices in instructional design and educational technology.
  • Provide support and training to instructors and facilitators on the use of instructional materials and technologies.
  • Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

What Required Skills You Will Bring:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Educational Technology, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices in instructional design.
  • Proven experience in instructional design and development.
  • Proficiency with e-learning authoring tools and designing for diverse learning environments (e.g., corporate, academic, online)
  • Strong understanding of learning theories and instructional design models.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.

What Desired Skills You Will Bring:

  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) is a plus.

Salary Range: 

$117,000.00 - $227,900.00
