Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Design Interface Manager to join our team!
In this role you will get to coordinates and manages the integration of design processes across multiple disciplines, ensuring seamless communication, resolving conflicts, and aligning all design aspects with project goals and quality standards.
What You'll be Doing;
- Manages the design interface between different engineering disciplines, ensuring alignment of design elements and seamless integration across teams.
- Coordinates with internal teams, contractors, and external stakeholders to ensure that design interfaces are understood, communicated, and executed accurately.
- Monitors the progress of design activities and resolves any conflicts or issues that arise between different design disciplines.
- Ensures that all design deliverables meet quality standards, project specifications, and regulatory requirements.
- Oversees the development and maintenance of design interface documentation, including schedules, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Collaborates with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to address and resolve any design-related concerns or challenges.
- Reviews and approves design documents to ensure that they comply with overall project objectives and client expectations.
- Facilitates regular design coordination meetings to track progress, identify potential risks, and address issues promptly.
- Provides technical guidance and support to the design teams and resolves interface-related challenges.
- Performs other duties related to design management and project coordination as required.
What Required Skills You'll Bring;
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
- Typically 7+ years of experience in design coordination or related roles, with a focus on managing cross-disciplinary design processes
- Experience in project management and design interface management preferred
- Strong knowledge of design coordination processes and project management principles
- Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, BIM) and MS Office Suite
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple design interfaces and ensure alignment across disciplines
- Strong leadership and organizational skills to oversee design activities and resolve issues effectively
