Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Construction Specialist to join our team! In this role you will supervise the installation and commissioning of airfield electrical systems such as runway/taxiway lighting, airfield lighting control systems (ALCS), and transformers.

What You'll Be Doing;

• Supervise the installation and commissioning of airfield electrical systems such as runway/taxiway lighting, airfield lighting control systems (ALCS), and transformers.
• Review and interpret electrical design drawings, shop drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate execution in the field.
• Monitor and ensure conformance to project schedules and construction milestones.
• Conduct regular site inspections to verify compliance with applicable codes (e.g., ICAO, FAA, NEC), standards, and safety regulations.
• Ensure that all electrical installations meet design requirements and performance criteria.
• Participate in testing and commissioning of electrical systems and document results.
• Liaise with design consultants, contractors, and client representatives to resolve technical issues and ensure smooth progress.
• Coordinate with other discipline specialists (civil, mechanical) to avoid conflicts and ensure integrated construction efforts.
• Attend project meetings and provide updates on electrical work progress.
• Enforce strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies on-site.
• Identify and mitigate electrical hazards through preventive actions and compliance enforcement.
• Maintain records of inspections, tests, and safety checks.
• Maintain accurate documentation including daily progress reports, inspection logs, and material submittals.
• Assist in preparing As-Built drawings and Operation & Maintenance (O&M) manuals for handover.
• Support in closing punch lists and ensuring project closeout procedures are completed.
• Verify delivered electrical materials and equipment conform to project specifications.
• Coordinate with procurement and warehouse teams to ensure timely availability of components.
• Manage tools and temporary electrical installations during construction phases.

What Required Skills You'll Bring;

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical construction, with at least 2 years on airfield or aviation-related infrastructure projects.
• Hands-on experience with airfield lighting systems, cable routing, and control systems.
• Knowledge of airfield electrical standards (ICAO, FAA, NEC).
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, scheduling, and site supervision.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, MS Office, and construction management software.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Previous experience working on military or international airport projects.
• Certification in electrical safety or construction supervision.
• Familiarity with SCADA or airfield lighting control systems.
• Experience working with multinational teams or in remote construction environments.
• Knowledge of environmental and sustainability requirements for airfield construction.
