BIM Modeler (Buildings & Utility Structures)

Dubai
 

Parsons is seeking a BIM Modeler (Buildings & Utility Structures) to support our growing portfolio of multidisciplinary projects. Working closely with BIM Coordinators, Structural Engineers, and Project Delivery Teams, you will develop high-quality BIM models and construction documentation while ensuring compliance with project standards and digital delivery requirements.
 

The key responsibility of the BIM Modeler is to support the BIM Coordinator and Project Delivery Teams in the development, implementation, and coordination of BIM processes for building and utility structure projects. The BIM Modeler shall possess strong Revit, AutoCAD, and BIM coordination skills to produce accurate 3D models, 2D drawings, quantity information, and coordinated design deliverables throughout all project stages.
 

What You'll Be Doing

• Support the BIM Coordinator and Project Delivery Teams in day-to-day BIM implementation activities.

• Develop and maintain accurate 3D structural BIM models and associated 2D drawings for building structures and utility buildings in accordance with project LOD requirements and company modeling standards.

• Prepare plans, elevations, sections, details, schedules, reinforcement detailing, and structural steel drawings directly from BIM models.

• Coordinate structural models with Architectural, Civil, MEP, and Infrastructure disciplines to ensure fully coordinated project deliverables.

• Perform clash detection, model coordination, and constructability reviews using BIM coordination software.

• Participate in interdisciplinary coordination meetings and resolve model-related issues.

• Extract quantities, schedules, and drawing packages from BIM models where required.

• Ensure all models, drawings, and digital deliverables comply with project BIM Execution Plans (BEP), company quality procedures, and client requirements.

• Maintain Project Information Models (PIM) in accordance with agreed BIM workflows, Common Data Environment (CDE) protocols, and digital delivery standards.

• Prepare BIM submissions and support project reviews at all design stages.

• Support model quality assurance, validation, and model audits.

• Coordinate with Structural Engineers and Lead Designers to ensure timely delivery of project milestones.

What Required Skills You'll Bring

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering Technology, BIM, or a related discipline from an accredited institution.

• Minimum 5 years of experience using Revit Structure on building structures, utility buildings, or similar multidisciplinary infrastructure projects.

• Advanced proficiency in Revit Structure and AutoCAD.

• Experience creating and maintaining structural Revit families and project templates.

• Strong understanding of reinforced concrete and structural steel modeling and detailing.

• Experience setting up Revit projects, worksets, linked models, shared coordinates, and federated BIM models.

• Proficiency in Navisworks, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC/BIM 360), and Dynamo.

• Ability to perform clash detection, coordination reviews, and model validation.

• Experience producing high-quality construction drawings directly from Revit models.

• Good understanding of BIM standards, including ISO 19650, LOD requirements, naming conventions, and digital delivery workflows.

• Experience working within multidisciplinary project environments involving Architectural, Structural, Civil, and MEP disciplines.
   

What Desired Skills You'll Bring

• Experience with ProjectWise, Bluebeam, Synchro, Civil 3D, Autodesk Docs, or other BIM collaboration platforms.

• Knowledge of parametric modeling and automation using Dynamo.

• Understanding of quantity take-off and model-based project delivery.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong coordination, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.

• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple project priorities.

• Experience supporting digital delivery for large-scale building and utility infrastructure projects in the UAE is preferred.
