Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Traffic Signals System Lead to join our team! In this role you will where you’ll provide strategic leadership, integrate advanced ITS technologies, engage with stakeholders, ensure regulatory compliance, and oversee quality control processes for high-impact transportation safety and corridor optimization projects.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Lead a team of engineers and technicians responsible for designing, installing, and maintaining traffic signal systems, ensuring their performance meets the highest standards.

• Project Coordination: Manage projects involving traffic signal design, installation, and optimization, delivering them on time and within budget.

• Signal Timing Optimization: Develop and implement signal timing plans to improve traffic flow, reduce congestion, and enhance safety, leveraging advanced ITS solutions to meet both current and future transportation needs.

• Technical Oversight: Provide technical guidance and review designs for signal systems, ensuring regulatory compliance and adherence to project specifications. Coordinate closely with local agencies and municipalities to align project outcomes with community needs.

• Mentoring teams and engaging with stakeholders.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is required.

• Minimum 15 years of experience in traffic signal systems, including leadership roles.

• ​Extensive knowledge of traffic signal systems, timing, and optimization strategies.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English is required.

• Strong project management skills, with the ability to coordinate complex, multi-disciplinary projects.

• Proficiency with traffic signal software, such as SYNCHRO or MaxView.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• Strong leadership skills, with experience managing engineering teams.

• Background in advanced ITS technologies or corridor optimization approaches is preferred.
