Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Survey Coordinator to join our team!
What You’ll Be Doing:
Survey Coordination and Support:
Assist in planning and coordinating daily survey activities across airside and landside zones, including runways, taxiways, utilities, and structures.
Ensure survey data is accurately collected, recorded, and made available to relevant engineering and construction teams.
Coordinate with contractors' survey teams to ensure work aligns with approved control points and site benchmarks.
Quality Control and Data Management:
Verify survey results and layout markings are consistent with approved IFC drawings and project specifications.
Review and maintain survey documentation including control point logs, as-built data, and digital survey files.
Flag discrepancies in survey data and assist in resolving issues with engineering or construction teams.
Interface with Site Teams and Stakeholders:
Work alongside civil engineers, designers, and quality control teams to validate horizontal and vertical alignments.
Support communication between multiple subcontractors to avoid survey-related conflicts or delays.
Participate in progress meetings and site walks related to surveying scopes.
Compliance and Safety:
Ensure all surveying activities comply with project safety standards and access protocols, particularly in active airfield zones.
Assist in maintaining compliance with airport authority requirements for survey controls and data accuracy.
What Required Skills You’ll Bring:
Education:
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
Around 2 years of experience in land or construction surveying, preferably on infrastructure or airport-related projects.
Exposure to using total stations, GPS equipment, and digital survey software.
Skills & Knowledge:
Understanding of survey processes, site control systems, and interpretation of civil/structural drawings.
Basic proficiency in survey software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, Leica, or Trimble platforms.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to read and understand technical drawings and layout information.
Good communication and coordination abilities in a fast-paced site environment.
What Desired Skills You’ll Bring:
Experience on aviation or regulated infrastructure projects is a plus.
Knowledge of GIS tools or data integration platforms.
Familiarity with BIM coordination and digital project workflows.
Basic understanding of quality assurance procedures for survey deliverables.
Willingness to learn and grow within a multidisciplinary site engineering team.
