Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Structural Project Designer to join our team! In this role you will get to support some of the most innovative and impactful infrastructure projects across Florida!
 

What You'll Be Doing:

• Coordinates execution of work assignments with respect to design approach, schedules, standards, budgets, and procedures to meet client scope of work requirements.
• Assignments typically involve design elements for which there may be no clearly established precedents and require anticipation of problems at the outset in order to provide appropriate solutions.
• Provides technical guidance to project design team in completing the most complex and difficult designs and layouts for complete systems and components of a project.
• Ensures compliance with required specifications, tolerances, safety factors, and industry codes, as well as client requirements and company standards.
• Performs specialized design computations and analysis within a given discipline.
• Performs interdisciplinary reviews and provides coordination of data to ensure a compatible design.
• Provides direction to a team of checking personnel, ensuring the mathematical accuracy of the drawings produced.
• Participates in checking orthographic (2D) and isometric (3D) drawings prepared by others.
• Provides manpower estimates as required.
• Understands and applies commonly used company design standards and methods.
• Provides input to the establishment or revision of guidelines and standards.
• Collaborates with Engineers and other engineering disciplines to ensure quality of design
• Reviews supplier data and supplier/manufacturer drawings, as required.
• May train lower-level Designers in various procedures.
• May serve as Lead CAD Designer on a small to medium-sized project.
• Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Associate's Degree 2-year technical degree (or equivalent) is preferred
• 10+ years of related experience
• Advanced computer skills
• CAD proficiency

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• Previous experience supporting FDOT Infrastructure projects is preferred.

Salary Range: $48.51 - $84.90
