Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Sr. Dry Utilities Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to lead and innovate in developing electrical designs for major infrastructure projects, manage stakeholder coordination, ensure project excellence, and mentor technical teams. The required Engineer to be based in Riyadh Amanah supporting the Design Management team
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Support Design Management Team.
Strong infrastructure engineering background with previous experience on infrastructure projects understanding of the requirements for primary substations 132/11 kV, HV corridor, distribution substations, pocket substations, feeder pillars and service, MV systems up to 33kV, LV networks, calculations, Street lighting, Tunnel MEP, Tunnel Lighting.
Extensive experience and proficiency in using ETAP, Amtech, CYMCAP and other software to perform Advanced Power system analysis, fault current, load flow and stability studies, Harmonics analysis for power networks and grids.
Must have thorough knowledge of IEEE, ANSI, IESNA, NFPA and IEC and various local authority standards SEC, AMMANAH, MOMRAH, Civil Defense.
Works closely with related teams by providing data and technical support as needed.
Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
Support the development of junior engineers in collaboration with the Leadership Team.
Check the assumptions and parameters against field data
Collaborate with Engineers, Urban Planners and Landscape Architects
Attending design coordination meetings and cooperating with design engineers, safety specialists, and government departments.
Regulatory Compliance: Comply with local KSA and relevant international regulations and best engineering practices.
Preparation of reports summarizing findings and project evaluations.
Sharing expertise in the best practices/tools of engineering.
Provides technical consultations for interdisciplinary analytical studies and analyses
Review of master plans from Concept stage to Detailed Master Plan stage in terms of HV, LV utility corridor space proofing, defining ROW requirements, coordination with wet utilities, ICT, Telecom, roads, transportation, landscape and building design teams
Review Master plan reports, demand load calculations, sizing of major equipment and circuits and selective protection coordination, tie in point requirements, Full understanding of dry utilities and infrastructure projects from Concept to IFC stage
Preparing Clarifications to Contractor RFIs, Review/approve key technical submittals related to electrical works and dry utilities.
Review of design reports prepared by other consultants and preparation of design review reports
Preparation of design reports, specifications, tender documents and securing design approvals for different project phases including coordination with client/authorities/sub consultants.
Preparation of technical proposals and estimation for projects, Technical Evaluation of Bids and preparation of evaluation reports.
Experience in civil 3D, Navisworks environment and BIM software as well as Revit software is also necessary.
Verifying clash analysis and resolving the clashes in 3D models. Additional Experience in the fields of power systems design and analysis and building services would be an advantage.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and 10+ years of related work experience. Including considerable experience in working with KSA projects and very well understanding of relevant latest local and international codes and standards
- Must have thorough knowledge of IEEE, ANSI, IESNA, NFPA and IEC and various local authority standards SEC, AMMANAH, MOMRAH, Civil Defense.
- Experience in Civil 3D, Navisworks environment and BIM software as well as Revit software is also necessary.
- Verifying clash analysis and resolving the clashes in 3D models.
- Must be registered with the Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME)
