Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Special Systems Lead to join our team! In this role you will get to oversees the design, integration, and implementation of specialized systems such as security, communications, and automation, ensuring they meet project requirements, industry standards, and client specifications.
What You'll Be Doing;
Leads the design, development, and integration of special systems, including security, fire alarm, communication, and building automation systems, ensuring they meet project specifications.
Collaborates with architects, engineers, and other disciplines to integrate special systems into the overall building design and functionality.
Manages the installation and commissioning of special systems, ensuring they are operational, efficient, and in compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Coordinates with clients, contractors, and vendors to ensure systems are designed and delivered according to project timelines and budgets.
Provides technical expertise and leadership to the project team, guiding engineers, designers, and contractors throughout the lifecycle of the project.
Conducts site assessments, reviews design documents, and ensures the correct installation and operation of special systems during the construction phase.
Prepares and reviews technical reports, cost estimates, schedules, and documentation for special systems projects.
Stays updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in special systems design and integration.
Troubleshoots and resolves any issues that arise during the design, installation, or operation of special systems.
Performs other duties related to special systems coordination and project management as required.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field.
Typically 15+ years of experience in the design and management of special systems, with a focus on integration and project coordination.
Professional certification or licensure may be required.
Strong knowledge of special systems design, including security, fire alarm, communication, and building automation.
Proficiency in relevant software tools (e.g., AutoCAD, BIM, and system-specific software).
Excellent project management, communication, and leadership skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and ensure the integration of complex systems.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
