Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Spatial Computing, Software Development Intern to join our team! This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in software development, geographic information systems (GIS), and building information modeling (BIM). As a Spatial Computing Intern, you will be working on software to orient imagery within a BIM model.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Develop and implement oriented imagery solutions to include writing software.
• Integrate BIM components for analysis in spatial computing projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and deliver innovative solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Contribute to the documentation and maintenance of the software.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Geospatial Science, or a related field.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Eagerness to learn and take on new challenges.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• Experience with computer vision, processing drone captured imagery, and spatial computing tools and software, such as ArcGIS Pro.
• Strong programming skills in Python and computer science fundamentals.
• Experience with processing drone captured imagery to include delivery of photogrammetry outputs.
• Experience working with BIM models, point clouds, 3D meshes, and or game/creation engines.

Salary Range: 

$21.44 - $37.55
