Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Safety Engineer - Saudi National to join our team! In this role you will get to support the implementation of Parsons’ Environmental, Safety, Health, and Risk Program (ESHARP) by conducting audits, inspections, incident investigations, risk assessments, and safety training activities to ensure a safe and compliant work environment across project sites.
What You'll Be Doing
- Advise and assist Project Managers, Program Managers, and project personnel in implementing Parsons' Environmental, Safety, Health, and Risk Program (ESHARP) and associated policies and procedures.
- Conduct audits of projects and worksites against corporate safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Perform site inspections to identify hazards and provide recommendations to eliminate or control risks.
- Prepare and submit audit and inspection reports.
- Implement occupational injury and incident reporting processes.
- Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses using recognized methodologies.
- Develop corrective and preventive actions in collaboration with project teams.
- Prepare comprehensive incident investigation reports and lessons learned documentation.
- Analyze trends from audits, inspections, and incident reports to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare and submit periodic safety performance reports.
- Represent Parsons during regulatory inspections, client audits, and loss-control reviews.
- Act as the SH&E representative on project sites as required.
- Support risk assessments and work planning activities by providing safety expertise.
- Assist with new hire safety orientations and onboarding programs.
- Deliver regulatory and best-practice safety training programs.
- Maintain safety training records and documentation.
- Participate in toolbox talks, safety briefings, and project safety meetings.
- Promote a positive safety culture and continuous improvement across all project activities.
- Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as appropriate.
What Required Skills You'll Bring
- Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- 6–10+ years of professional Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE/SH&E) experience.
- Advanced knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations and reporting requirements.
- Strong understanding of ANSI, NFPA, and other recognized industry safety standards.
- Experience conducting audits, inspections, incident investigations, and risk assessments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and safety management systems.
