Job Description:

Parsons is looking for a talented and a Senior Roadway/Highway Engineer to join our team in the East Hartford, CT office. In this role you will get to support wide variety of transportation projects such as $450 million Interchange Improvement Project in Meriden, CT or upcoming various highway improvements projects from CTDOT Task Order assignments. You will perform various tasks ranging from feasibility studies, preliminary engineering, and final design to report writing and development of construction contract documents. 

What You'll Be Doing:

• Lead a variety of roadway/highway engineering tasks such as geometric design, engineering analyses, and project plan development.
• Development of horizontal and vertical alignments, develop 3D corridors, review design exceptions, maintenance and protection of traffic and specifications
• Prepare engineering design plans, engineering computations, technical reports, specifications, quantity takeoffs, and cost estimates.
• Assist the project manager in executing and delivering project assignments.
• Coordinate and communicate with internal team and external clients/agencies.
• Provides technical guidance to CAD Designer/Drafters, Designers, and junior-level Engineers working on the same project. 
• Participate or project meetings as well as participate in site visits and field inspection as required.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (or related field) and typically 8+ years of related work experience.
• Professional Engineer registration is a MUST

Salary Range: 

$83,300.00 - $168,700.00
