Job Description:
Senior Resident Engineer - Infrastructure ( Wet and Dry utilities)
Abu Dhabi, UAE
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Resident Engineer ( Infrastructure) to join our team! In this role you will get to lead and oversee all field engineering activities, ensuring construction operations are executed safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with company procedures and industry standards.
What You'll Be Doing:
Plan, schedule, supervise, and exercise administrative authority over all field engineering work.
Control field engineering activities, including preparation of construction and procurement schedules.
Conduct subcontract negotiations and provide technical guidance to support construction operations.
Plan, organize, and ensure adequate staffing, execution, and monitoring of all field engineering activities and related support operations.
Provide guidance on scope of work, schedules, procedures, field construction challenges, and other technical matters.
Develop budget estimates and determine staffing requirements based on defined scope and schedule.
Establish, monitor, and maintain construction engineering quality control in the field.
Collaborate with construction management to eliminate hazards and ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety standards.
Promote and enforce safe work practices in line with site-specific safety procedures and industry standards.
Maintain strong working relationships with project design engineering teams, client representatives, and contractors.
Manage project control documentation, including drawings, specifications, back-charge documentation, and change orders.
Monitor contractor performance related to schedule adherence and compliance with plans and specifications.
Make decisions regarding long-range planning, scheduling, budgeting, work priorities, and staffing.
Provide management with advice on field engineering procedures, construction methodologies, and financial matters.
Interface regularly with senior management and client personnel.
Demonstrate willingness to relocate to construction site locations as needed.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent construction-related work experience.
Minimum 12+ years of experience in field construction.
Experience in large civil/structural and/or industrial construction projects, both domestic and/or international preferred.
Supervisory experience within construction or field engineering teams.
Comprehensive knowledge of engineering and construction processes and industry practices.
Strong understanding of quality control procedures in field operations.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in CAD and standard PC software packages used in engineering and construction.
Proven ability to perform effectively in a supervisory capacity on complex projects.
