Job Description:
Parsons is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior QA/QC Manager to join our team for a major hyperscale data centre project in Saudi Arabia.
This critical role will focus on providing leadership, supervision, and technical oversight for all quality control activities, ensuring that construction, MEP, and specialist systems meet project, client, and Parsons requirements. The Senior QA/QC Manager will oversee inspection processes, develop quality programs, and ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and contractual obligations across multiple contractors and project packages.
What You'll Be Doing:
Provide leadership and supervision to the Quality Control staff, including hiring recommendations, staffing assignments, performance evaluations, and professional development.
Work closely with the Quality Control Manager to develop and implement project-specific quality control programs, procedures, resource allocation, and training.
Establish and maintain communications with all project departments, clients, and subcontractors regarding quality requirements and performance.
Implement inspection, examination, and testing procedures, ensuring proper documentation of all results.
Plan and conduct inspections, evaluations, and tests, including setup of equipment and First-Article/In-Process Inspections as required.
Oversee subcontractor inspections, review subcontractor work, and audit subcontractor-generated quality records.
Develop and maintain required project quality records, documentation, and NCR logs.
Ensure QC inspectors follow applicable HSE requirements and participate in certification programs.
Evaluate the adequacy of training and testing programs for inspection personnel and certify QC inspectors at all levels.
Ensure all inspection results are accurately documented and communicated.
Understand and enforce contract and subcontract requirements related to quality control.
Participate in developing preventative maintenance schedules and provide inspection support as required.
Perform other responsibilities associated with quality control management as appropriate.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Physical Science, Math, Quality, or related field.
15+ years of related construction experience with minimum 5 years of supervisory or lead capacity experience.
Proven experience with complex infrastructure or hyperscale data centre projects.
ASQ, CMQ, or CMQ/OE preferred; certification required within 12 months of employment.
Certification in one or more areas such as Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Instrumentation and Controls, Civil, Structural, Architectural, HVAC, Welding, Non-Destructive Examination, Receiving, or Special Processes.
Proficiency with inspection, testing, and documentation standards in large-scale infrastructure projects.
Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the project team.
Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Access, and software used for quality record documentation, analysis, and retention.
Leadership and supervisory abilities to manage multidisciplinary QC teams.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
Familiarity with international codes, standards, and certification frameworks (DOT, IEEE, AWS, SNT-TC-1a, ACI, ICC).
Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-organizational project environment.
Strong attention to detail and proactive approach to quality management and risk mitigation.
