Job Description:
BCC Engineering, a Parsons Company is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Project Engineer, to join our team! In this role you will get to perform structural design and analysis for various bridge types and related structures, manage assigned tasks, collaborate with internal and external teams, and contribute to project delivery, mentorship, and professional development under limited supervision.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Develop the scope of engineering work, schedules, and budgets for assigned project elements, and track progress to ensure alignment with project requirements. Identify and document any changes in scope.
- Determine the scope of procurement work, schedules, and budgets for the technical aspects of the contract. Coordinate with Procurement and Subcontracts to ensure smooth vendor and subcontractor engagement. Participate in bid evaluations to assess supplier capability and availability.
- Review technical work to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, procedures, and quality expectations. Monitor productivity and technical performance of assigned staff, reassign personnel as needed, and oversee performance evaluations and development opportunities.
- Coordinate interdisciplinary technical personnel across the project and collaborate with other internal technical support groups.
- Support the Project Manager in planning, directing, supervising, and controlling technical, fiscal, and administrative functions. Assist in determining required staffing, technical skills, and labor hours for successful project completion.
- Ensure all engineering disciplines meet client criteria and project scope requirements. Distribute action items and follow ups after project meetings.
- Prepare technical reports, project manuals, and client documentation.
- Act as the Project Manager’s delegate for certain duties, including attending meetings when needed.
- Obtain, interpret, and distribute technical and contractual information to all project disciplines.
- Review and approve change orders and notify project management and relevant personnel of all scope impacts.
- Perform other responsibilities as required to support successful project delivery.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering Emphasis on Structural Engineering preferred
- Professional Engineer (PE)
- Years of Experience: 12+ years
