Job Description:

Senior Planning Engineer

Abu Dhabi, UAE

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Planning Engineer to join our team! The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working within PMC environments, especially on institutional and specialized building projects such as schools, hospitals, and public service facilities.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Review, evaluate, and validate project baseline programs submitted by contractors and consultants.

• Monitor and track progress against approved schedules and milestones.

• Prepare internal PMC tracking tools and project dashboards for reporting purposes.

• Liaise with construction supervision consultants and contractors to ensure alignment on schedules, progress updates, and deliverables.

• Attend progress meetings and provide input on planning-related issues.

• Engage regularly with consultants and contractors to ensure realistic forecasting and mitigate risks of slippages.

• Work closely with parties to generate realistic monthly progress values and validate earned value data.

• Prepare and review monthly and weekly progress reports, including S-curves and variance analyses.

• Work with other PMC team members for accurate forecasting and progress inputs for cost reporting.

• Collaborate with consultants and contractors to generate and regularly update cashflow forecasts aligned with current project status and project delivery timelines.

• Review cashflow submissions for accuracy, consistency, and compliance with contract requirements.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.

• Minimum of 12 years’ experience in planning, with at least 3 years in a PMC role.

• Must have experience within the GCC Region

• Strong background in buildings/infrastructure projects, particularly schools, healthcare facilities, and other public-use buildings.

• Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, Primavera Risk Analysis and cost control software.

• Solid understanding of project controls, progress measurement techniques, and cost-time integration.

• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and analytical skills.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• Experience in within Abu Dhabi government-funded projects is a strong advantage.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders and complex interfaces.
