Senior Materials / Lab Engineer

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Materials / Lab Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to review, monitor, inspect, approve, audit and improve all material approval processes on the project.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Evaluate and approve material submittals to ensure they meet project specifications and standards.
- Review and approve Method Statements (MS) and Inspection Test Plans (ITP).
- Witness and oversee material testing to verify compliance with project requirements and standards.
- Ensure all materials comply with relevant codes and standards, such as QCS 2014.
- Implement and maintain quality assurance and quality control procedures.
- Conduct trend analyses on non-conforming materials to identify and address recurring issues.
- Develop and review QA/QC questionnaires and reports.
- Audit and assess the contractor's supply chain to ensure quality and compliance with contractual obligations.
- Prioritize the use of locally manufactured materials where feasible.
- Maintain comprehensive records of material tests, quality inspections, and compliance reports.
- Compile and document lessons learned to improve future processes and project outcomes.
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to address material-related issues and ensure project quality.
- Provide technical support and guidance to project teams regarding material selection, testing, and compliance.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited University
- Minimum 15 years of demonstrable experience, of which seven years in similar large scale infrastructures projects particular emphasis on Quality Assurance Specifications and Statistical Quality.
- MMUP / MME certification
- Maintain ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor certification and apply relevant quality management practices.
