Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Logistics Planner to join our team! In this role you will support the ILS2 Program Management Office in aligning and implementing logistics and sustainment support plans for Service Component Command / Geographic Combatant Command (SCC/GCC) headquarters while supervising six operational planners embedded in the SCCs. 

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Direct logistics planning efforts across multiple PACOM subordinate commands to produce three country or region books each year of the contract, per command, to include general information, transportation and distribution infrastructure, engineering infrastructure, and potential local vendors
  • Direct planning efforts to produce three concepts of support for deliberate and/or time-constrained planning efforts each year of the contract, per command, to include detailed planning for theater opening, TPFDD analysis and integration, coordination with relevant Army, DOD, and Governmental agencies, detailed RSOI planning, theater distribution, Host Nation and Combined staff integration and coordination, and detailed health care planning
  • Coordinate participation in three exercises each year of the contract, per command, to include virtual or live exercises, tabletop or staff focused. Participation may include MESL development, integration of exercise operational documentation, and provision of specifically relevant local information
  • Additional requirements as requested by the client and developed and directed by the company headquarters
  • Provide technical and functional expertise to the Program Management Office regarding Department of War (DoW) and Service strategy, planning and operations
  • Draft and coordinate planning analysis and course of action development in support of PACOM Service Component’s to accomplish coordinated responses with internal and external stakeholders
  • Engage Government leadership regularly to ensure consistency and accuracy regarding planning efforts regarding time-sensitive tasks
  • Assist in the development of summary planning documentation to support engagements and provide weekly support updates designed to track time-sensitive tasks and business, both internal and external to PMO Leadership
  • Assist the PMO leadership in communicating efforts and initiatives by engaging with stakeholders, workforce, and partners
  • Utilize task management system to track, manage, and complete actions
  • The qualified individual will coordinate cross-command planning for surging and setting a theater of operation
  • Direct, coordinate and execute key standing requirements as defined within a performance work statement
  • Will closely monitor and synchronize efforts across PACOM subordinate commands logistics planning cells to determine appropriate level-of-effort as contractually defined.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Must have a current Top Secret clearance with SCI Eligibility
  • Must possess a bachelor’s degree, master’s degree preferable, with focus on Supply Chain Operations, Engineering, or Business. The type of degree is less important if applicant demonstrates relevant experience in a senior leadership or decision-making capacity
  • 12+ years of experience in DoD/Service-level strategy, policy, planning and operations
  • Must have and maintain a current passport
  • Previous military experience is highly desired but not required
  • This position requires excellent written and verbal communication skills as defined by Service Component/Joint doctrine and regulation
  •  Additionally, the applicant must be adept at building rapport down, laterally, and up within a military and corporate organization with a demonstrated ability to adjust communication style based on audience
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • A critical thinker capable of operating both independently and under distributed, virtual supervision. Capable of integrating multiple components’ requirements while protecting the equities of multiple stakeholders
  • Must demonstrate highest level of proficiency in service component decision making processes, with a thorough understanding of TPFDD dynamics, to assist the Program Management Office leadership in providing ILS2 technical and analytical expertise in the execution of exercises, operations, or contingencies to facilitate the integration of ILS2 capabilities into fully developed and scoped plans and operations


What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • Recent and relevant experience within the USPACOM area of responsibility
  • Relevant experience managing geographically dispersed teams
  • 3+ years of DoW, Service Component or Higher Echelon staff experience
  • A firm understanding of DoW requirements definition process, capability requirements management, capabilities development, and systems acquisition support
  • Decision analysis experience, including the DoW Risk Assessment methodologies, Course of Action development, and resourcing impacts
  • 3+ years of experience serving within or directly supporting subordinate units of US Special Operations Command is highly preferred
  • Relevant experiencing managing teams performing sustainment, transportation and management planning in direct support of military operations
  • Experience operating with a Program Office.  Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is preferred
  • Ability to brief analysis to flag-level leaders via oral, written, and multimedia presentations

Security Clearance Requirement:

An active Top Secret SCI security clearance is required for this position.​

Salary Range: $125,100.00 - $225,200.00
