Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Housing Manager to join our team! In this role you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, financial performance, and overall management of housing properties or residential communities. This role ensures compliance with housing regulations, delivers exceptional service to residents, and leads a team of housing professionals to achieve operational excellence. The Senior Housing Manager will also develop and implement strategies to enhance tenant satisfaction, optimize occupancy rates, and maintain the long-term value of the properties.

What You'll Be Doing:

Oversee the management of housing properties, ensuring they are well-maintained, safe, and compliant with local, state, and federal regulations.

  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure efficient operations.

  • Supervise, train, and mentor housing staff, including property managers, maintenance teams, and administrative personnel.

  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback to staff.

  • Prepare and manage budgets for assigned properties, ensuring financial goals are met.

  • Monitor rent collection, control expenses, and address delinquencies.

  • Analyze financial reports and recommend cost-saving measures.

  • Foster positive relationships with tenants by addressing concerns and resolving disputes in a timely and professional manner.

  • Oversee the leasing process, including tenant screening, lease agreements, and renewals.

  • Ensure compliance with housing laws, fair housing regulations, and organizational policies.

  • Conduct regular property inspections to identify and mitigate risks.

  • Develop and implement strategies to improve occupancy rates and tenant retention.

  • Identify opportunities for property improvements and oversee capital projects.

  • Prepare and present reports on property performance, occupancy, and financial metrics to senior leadership.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, including tenants, vendors, and regulatory agencies.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor/Master’s degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, Property Management, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 10-12 years of experience in property management, housing operations, or a related field, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Proficiency in property management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Knowledge of housing regulations and compliance requirements.

  • Strong financial acumen and analytical skills.
