  • Reviewing contractor progress related to horticultural works, identifying deficiencies, and recommending or supervising corrective measures.
  • Preparing technical reports, inspection reports, plant health assessments, and submissions with conceptual elements and visual content.
  • Providing horticultural guidance during testing, commissioning, and handover of landscape areas to clients or operating authorities.
  • Ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements within landscape and horticultural operations.
  • Mentoring and providing technical support to junior landscape/horticulture staff as needed.

What Required Skills You’ll Bring

  • 12 years of experience in large landscape projects involving preservation and maintenance of landscape works.
  • Experience in arid terrain with strong understanding of the suitability and performance of plant material in such conditions.
  • Ability to interpret complex contract documents, including plans, specifications, and shop drawings.
  • Ability to review drawings, specifications, and installations for constructability and compliance with design intent.
  • Experience in urban design and supervision, including high-end commercial landscapes.
  • Experience in the preparation of reports and submissions, including conceptual elements and visual/horticultural content.
  • Advanced proficiency in relevant software, including Vectorworks, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), and contemporary digital imagery/visualization software.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Must have UPDA/MME registration in Qatar.

What Desired Skills You’ll Bring

  • Experience in the GCC region and an understanding of its cultural heritage, particularly as it relates to public realm and landscape design.
  • Experience on large-scale infrastructure, public parks, streetscapes, highways, stadium precincts, and other urban landscape developments.
  • Familiarity with sustainable horticultural practices, including water-efficient planting, biodiversity enhancement, and integrated pest management (IPM).
  • Strong coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively with contractors, nurseries, and multidisciplinary project teams.
