Job Description:

Assistant Resident Engineer (Electrical – Roads & Infrastructure)

Abu Dhabi, UAE (Saadiyat)

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Assistant Resident Engineer (Electrical) to join our team! In this role you will assist the Resident Engineer in administering day-to-day supervision activities for electrical infrastructure works, ensuring delivery in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, contractual requirements, and HSE standards.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Report to the Resident Engineer and assist in supervising electrical infrastructure works and associated items.
• Act in place of the Resident Engineer when required.
• Coordinate activities with other engineers and the construction supervision team.
• Review shop drawings, design proposals, method statements, material submittals, and related correspondence; draft responses for RE review.
• Coordinate with design engineers to resolve technical issues and site queries.
• Monitor contractor scheduling and resource deployment; support progress measurement and reporting.
• Direct and monitor inspectors/surveyors as applicable; maintain daily diaries and ensure completeness of records.
• Chair/attend meetings with service authorities, contractors, and stakeholders related to electrical works.
• Ensure safety goals are achieved and HSE procedures are implemented on site.
• Support weekly/monthly progress reports and maintain accurate as-built records and handover documentation.

What Required Skills You’ll Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years experience in design, site supervision, and construction management of electrical infrastructure projects (roads / bridges / infrastructure).
• Proven experience managing supervision activities on large-scale infrastructure projects within Abu Dhabi.
• Ability to review and justify material submissions and technical/lab reports; ensure compliance with specifications and quality requirements.
• Strong knowledge of contractual relationships and documentation control.
• Strong computer literacy (MS Office and project systems) and communication skills.

What Desired Skills You’ll Bring:

• Strong knowledge of QA specifications and statistical quality control practices.
