Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Designer - Vertical Movement Expert to join our team in NEOM. Parsons is providing Project Management Consultancy (PMC) services for the development of NEOM Infrastructure in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. NEOM is a planned cross-border city in the Tabuk Province of northwestern Saudi Arabia. The site is near the Red Sea and the borders of Egypt, and Jordan. It will cover a total area of 26,500 km2 (10,200 sq mi) and will extend 460 km along the coast of the Red Sea.
Join us as a Senior Designer focused on Vertical Movement, contributing to the advancement of Saudi Arabia’s urban infrastructure. This role offers the opportunity to design and implement innovative vertical transportation systems that enhance both functionality and aesthetics within our projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Design comprehensive vertical movement systems—such as elevators, escalators, and moving walkways—for a variety of large-scale projects.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to seamlessly integrate vertical movement solutions into overall designs.
Conduct in-depth analyses and simulations to optimize transport systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
Lead documentation and calculation processes for project specifications.
Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in vertical transportation.
Mentor junior team members and provide support in project management.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or a related discipline.
Minimum of 10 years’ experience in vertical movement system design.
Solid understanding of vertical transportation codes and standards.
Proficiency in design software specific to vertical movement systems.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and collaborative skills.
Effective communicator with experience working on large-scale infrastructure projects (preferred).
