Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Principal CAD Designer to join our team! In this role you will be engaged in all aspects of road and highway design project in the region.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Will perform geometric horizontal alignment CAD design of various road and highway projects utilizing Microstation and/or Autocad Civil 3D primarily.   
• Independently develops and/or supervises the creation of CAD design products that meet customer quality requirements. 
• Typical products may plan sheets, cross sections and other plan preparation deliverables.
• Provides support for other engineering activities as required.  May supervise one or more subordinates and provide input regarding performance.
• May be assigned to a project or organizational team, or as a lead CAD designer for a specific discipline on a small to intermediate-size project.
• Provides input and technical guidance to CAD Designer/Drafters, Designers, and lower-level Engineers working on the same project.
• Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
• Perform Quality Control on design plan sheets

What Required Skills You’ll Birng:

• A 2 year technical degree or equivalent is preferred.
• At least 10 years  of relevant design work experience with highway design
• Proficiency with a combination of  the following software is desired:  Microstation, Bentley InRoads, or Open Roads, and/ or Autocad Civil 3D.
• INDOT experience is preferred.

Salary Range: $41.68 - $72.93
