Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Construction Engineer to join our team!

The Senior Construction Engineer will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of construction works within Qiddiya’s large-scale infrastructure and smart city development program. The role involves managing contractors, ensuring quality, safety, and schedule compliance, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to meet project objectives.

The Senior Construction Engineer performs a variety of field engineering assignments by applying basic engineering techniques and analyses. This role provides exposure to various aspects of field engineering and construction activities while adhering to company procedures and industry best practices. The position may also involve providing functional guidance to craft personnel. Willingness to relocate to construction site locations is expected.

This position is open to Saudi Nationals in support of the Kingdom’s Saudization goals.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Supervise daily on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with design specifications, technical standards, and safety regulations.

• Review and approve method statements, shop drawings, and material submissions.

• Monitor contractor performance and progress against schedule.

• Liaise with design, engineering, and project management teams to resolve technical issues.

• Coordinate between stakeholders to ensure smooth handover between construction stages.

• Conduct regular progress meetings with contractors and subcontractors.

• Ensure works comply with Qiddiya’s quality standards, Saudi Building Codes, and applicable regulatory requirements.

• Conduct inspections, prepare snag lists, and oversee defect rectification.

• Enforce adherence to HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) policies.

• Maintain daily and weekly construction reports.

• Track project milestones and prepare variance reports if delays or issues arise.

• Provide input for monthly progress reports to senior management.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Nationality: Saudi National (as per Saudization requirements).

• Minimum 4 years in construction engineering, with at least 2 years in senior-level roles on large-scale or giga-projects.

• Proven track record in managing multidisciplinary infrastructure projects.

• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, QA/QC processes, and safety standards.

• Previous experience in Mega/Giga ICT projects would be an advantage

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, or equivalent construction-related work experience.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• Strong leadership and team coordination skills.

• Excellent knowledge of construction contracts.

• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.

• Proficiency in project management software (Primavera P6, MS Project) is an advantage.

• Effective communication in Arabic and English (spoken and written).

• Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities under tight deadlines.
