Job Description:
Parsons is seeking a highly skilled Senior BIM Manager to lead and manage Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes for major infrastructure buildings projects. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing BIM strategies and workflows to ensure efficient design, coordination, and construction delivery. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and stakeholders to ensure seamless collaboration and integration across all phases of the project.
What You'll Be Doing:
Develop and implement the overall BIM strategy and execution plan for the project, ensuring alignment with client objectives and industry standards.
Establish and enforce project-specific BIM workflows, standards, and protocols.
Lead the integration of BIM across all project phases, including design, coordination, and construction.
Facilitate collaboration between design consultants, contractors, and project stakeholders through effective use of BIM tools.
Oversee the creation and management of 3D models, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
Conduct clash detection and resolution activities to identify and address design conflicts before construction.
Ensure adherence to BIM standards, including ISO 19650, and client-specific requirements.
Perform regular audits of BIM models and workflows to maintain quality and compliance.
Oversee the development and submission of deliverables, such as as-built models and project documentation.
Evaluate and implement advanced BIM tools and technologies to enhance project delivery.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for BIM software and systems.
Ensure proper use of software platforms, such as Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and BIM 360.
Lead a team of BIM coordinators and specialists, providing mentorship and guidance to ensure high performance.
Deliver training sessions to project team members on BIM standards, workflows, and tools.
Foster a collaborative and innovative environment for BIM integration.
Prepare and deliver regular reports on BIM implementation progress, issues, and solutions.
Analyze BIM data to provide actionable insights that optimize project performance and decision-making.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (essential). Master’s degree in a relevant discipline (preferred).
Minimum of 12 years of experience in BIM management, with at least 5 years in senior roles for large-scale infrastructure or building projects.
Proven expertise in managing BIM workflows, standards, and technology for complex, multidisciplinary projects.
Professional certifications in BIM, such as Autodesk Certified Professional or similar (preferred). Familiarity with ISO 19650 standards is a plus.
Advanced knowledge of BIM software, including Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360, and similar platforms.
Excellent leadership and communication skills to manage teams and coordinate with diverse stakeholders.
