Senior Architect

Qatar

Parsons is looking for an experienced and talented Senior Architect to join our team! In this role, you will oversee and manage architectural activities on-site, ensuring that construction works align with design intent, project specifications, and quality standards. You will play a critical role in coordinating with contractors, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of architectural elements for large-scale infrastructure projects.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Oversee and manage all architectural activities on-site, ensuring compliance with approved designs, specifications, and project requirements.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor construction progress and ensure alignment with design intent, quality standards, and project timelines.
• Review and approve architectural shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements submitted by contractors.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and other project stakeholders to resolve design-related issues and ensure seamless project execution.
• Provide technical guidance and support to the construction team on architectural matters, including finishes, materials, and detailing.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, and international standards in all architectural works.
• Prepare and maintain accurate records of site activities, including inspection reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and progress updates.
• Identify and address potential design conflicts or construction challenges, recommending solutions to maintain project timelines and quality.
• Assist in the preparation of handover documentation, including as-built drawings and operation and maintenance manuals.
• Collaborate with the project management team to ensure that architectural works are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
• Support the implementation of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) practices on-site.
• Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in architectural design and site supervision, with a proven track record of working on large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of architectural design principles, construction methods, and materials.
• Proficiency in reviewing and interpreting architectural drawings, specifications, and shop drawings.
• Familiarity with local building codes, regulations, and international standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare detailed reports and engage with stakeholders.
• Proficiency in architectural software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant tools.
• Must be MME certified.
