Job Description:
A SECRET level security clearance is required. Candidates should be willing to complete additional clearance processing to include a possible polygraph exam.
What You'll Be Doing:
Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and installations on automated gates, access control panels, intrusion detection panels, and associated devices.
Maintain and install CCTV cameras and head end VMS at various viewing locations
Perform maintenance and repairs on a fiber optic intrusion detection system and server
Install, maintain, and manage thousands of locks with hundreds of users/keys, and the associated database system.
Maintain and install high-security locks.
Troubleshoot and maintain the radio system, including repeaters, viper radios and handheld radios.
Manage head end database system and client stations
Perform preventative maintenance on the base disintegrators and shredders
Maintain a hotel lock system
Troubleshoot and maintain all technical security equipment to keep it operating 24/7
Able to work off ladders and elevated platforms
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
A minimum of two years of direct applicable experience working as a security technician or related discipline.
Experience with electronic systems, including access control, intrusion detection and CCTV
Familiarity with fiber optic cable systems
Experience with high security locks
Understanding of radio communication systems
Knowledge of network fundamentals, including switches, media converters and network protocols
Experience with database management systems
Ability to troubleshoot and repair complex electronic systems
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Familiarity with IT security best practices and protocols

Familiarity with security systems design and ability to read and interpret building plans.
