Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Quantity Surveyor to join our team! In this role you will get to be responsible for the Quantity Surveying activities relative to the Airfield Assets delivery programme, ensuring compliance with applicable governance.
What You'll Be Doing:
Perform the day-to-day Quantity Surveying activities for the Airfield Assets delivery programme and monitor its performance against Key Performance Indicators, in compliance with the client’s objectives, strategies, policies, plans, procedures, and applicable regulations / standards.
Track costs and review / comment payment applications.
Review / analyse / evaluate claims.
Ensure that changes to scopes of Work / Services / Supplies are correctly estimated / measured, preserving the client’s interests and reputation.
Measure the quantities of Works / Services / Supplies in accordance with applicable standards (CESMM4, NRM…).
Report and maintain records on costs, cash flows, payments, claims, final account.
Assist the Contract Manager with ad hoc tasks, as required.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor's degree (such as BSc, BA, LLB, or similar) in Engineering or Quantity Surveying from a accredited university/institution is required.
5 years of relevant experience required with extensive knowledge in the Quantity Surveying function and industry practices and regulations.
Excellent analytical skills to model estimates and quantities using applicable standards.
Conversant with technologies and systems (Microsoft Office Suite, ACONEX, Oracle, CostX, etc.) required to perform daily duties.
Fluent in English, with excellent written and oral communications skills.
Familiar with various forms of contract (lump sums, unit rates / re-measurable, early contractor involvement, design & build) and standards (CESMM4, NRM, POMI) to deliver a wide array of Airfield Assets Assets (runways, taxiways, aprons, air traffic control tower, airfield systems, fuel farms, etc).
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
Post-graduate degree preferred.
Prior experience on Airport / Infrastructure projects highly desired (but not mandatory).
Prior experience on the client’s and/or PMCM consultant’s side preferred, with knowledge of PIF Development Companies’ operating models highly desired.
Ability to independently perform day-to-day Quantity Surveying activities.
Ability to positively influence and contribute to meetings and to interface with the client and stakeholders.
