Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Quality Assurance & Control Manager to join our team! You will lead QA/QC activities on major construction and infrastructure projects, supervising QA/QC staff and subcontractors and ensuring compliance with Parsons’ and client requirements. Key responsibilities include overseeing inspections, testing, NCRs, and quality records, and reviewing subcontractor documentation using EDMs such as Aconex. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, civil, physical science, quality, or a related field, at least years’ relevant construction experience, and strong leadership, analytical, communication, and computer skills.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Works with Project Manager in providing leadership for QA/QC support activities for assigned program(s) or project(s) to ensure that products or services provided meet customer and Parsons’ requirements.
- Provides leadership for development and implementation of QA/QC, procedures, resource allocation, and training.
- Establishes and maintains communications with all project departments, client and subcontractor(s).
- Oversee inspection, examination, and testing procedures and records inspection, examination, and testing data.
- Develops and maintains required project quality records and documentation.
- Maintains inspection and NCR logs.
- Reviews quality records/documents for correctness and completeness.
- Evaluates the validity and acceptability of inspection, examination and testing results and reports inspection, examination and testing results.
- Evaluates the adequacy of specific programs used to train and test inspection, examination, and testing personnel
- Oversees subcontractor inspections and review of subcontractor work. Reviews and audits subcontractor generated quality records.
- Understands contract requirements and subcontractor(s) contract requirements.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Civil, Physical Science, Quality, or a related field, with evidence of previous certification, and a minimum of 10 years’ construction experience including work with Supervision Consultants on infrastructure projects such as dry and wet utilities, soft and hard landscaping, buildings, and hospitality facilities such as hotels, hospitals, and similar developments.
- Knowledgeable of Quality tools, can do Trend Analyses, Root Cause Analyses, Audit Checklists, EDMs like Aconex, Aspire etc., NCR closing Process, KPIs, Dashboard Reports, formal letters / communication with internal and external Stakeholders.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
- Requires the ability to communicate clearly and interface effectively with a diverse group of professionals.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate to all levels of the company.
- Proficient in data collection, analysis and presentation.
- Excellent computer skills and proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Access. Requires proficiency in the use of computers and software packages needed to support the documentation, analysis and retention of quality records.
