Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Project Management Information System (PMIS) Specialist to join our team! In this role you will get to
ensure the efficient and effective management of project data and documentation through the implementation and optimization of PMIS tools. The role will enhance the decision-making process, improve communication across project teams, and ensure the successful delivery of airport infrastructure projects on time and within budget.
What You'll Be Doing;
- Oversee the configuration, implementation, and management of the Project Management Information System (PMIS) to streamline project data and document management.
- Ensure that the PMIS is set up to meet the specific needs of airport infrastructure projects, including tracking project schedules, costs, resources, and risks.
- Continuously monitor and optimize the PMIS, ensuring that it supports effective project planning, execution, and monitoring.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system-related issues, ensuring smooth operation and minimal disruption to ongoing projects.
- Develop and manage standardized project reporting templates to provide stakeholders with consistent and timely updates on project performance, milestones, costs, and schedules.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of project data within the PMIS and generate custom reports for various project stakeholders (management, contractors, etc.).
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure proper use and integration of the PMIS across the project lifecycle.
- Provide training and support to project team members on how to effectively use the PMIS for scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and reporting.
- Ensure that the PMIS stores all relevant project documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards, including contracts, drawings, reports, and approvals.
- Support audits by maintaining up-to-date records and ensuring the PMIS aligns with internal and external auditing standards.
- Track project progress, monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), and identify potential risks and delays using the PMIS.
- Provide recommendations for corrective actions based on real-time data and insights from the system, helping to mitigate risks and keep projects on track.
- Recommend and implement improvements to the PMIS to enhance functionality, usability, and integration with other systems.
- Stay updated on the latest trends in project management technology and PMIS tools, ensuring the organization is utilizing the best tools and practices.
- Ensure the PMIS integrates with other systems used in airport projects, such as financial management, contract management, and document control systems.
- Coordinate with IT teams and external vendors to ensure system integrations are functioning correctly and are secure.
What Required Skills You'll Bring;
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Project Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in project management systems administration, with a focus on implementing and managing PMIS for large-scale projects.
- Previous experience in managing or working on airport infrastructure projects is highly desirable.
- Expertise in PMIS software (e.g., Procore, Primavera, MS Project, Aconex, etc.).
- Strong understanding of project management principles, including scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation, and risk management.
- Experience with data management, reporting, and analytics.
- Proficiency in database management and integration with other business systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot system-related issues.
- Ability to train and support team members in the use of project management systems.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Project Management certification (e.g., PMP, CAPM).
- Experience with cloud-based PMIS tools and platforms.
- Knowledge of airport-specific project management requirements and standards.
- Familiarity with data security protocols and best practices for managing sensitive project data.
