Job Description:
Parsons is looking for a highly experienced and skilled Project Director to lead the Engineer's team for a major rail Project. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing all aspects of the project. Ensuring its successful completion within scope, schedule and budget. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in Detailed Rail Engineering, construction, project management, and construction management.
What You'll Be Doing:
Project Leadership: Provide strategic leadership and direction for the Project. Oversee the entire project lifecycle, from conceptualization and design to construction and commissioning
Construction Expertise: Leverage in-depth knowledge and experience in rail construction methodologies and best practice. Ensure compliance with Employer Requirements, industry standards, regulations and safety protocols.
Rail Engineering: Apply detailed rail engineering expertise to optimize the design and implementation. Manage the technical team to address technical challenges and ensure the highest quality standards
Project Management: Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets. Monitor and control project progress, identifying and mitigating risks to ensure timely and within-budget delivery.
Construction Management: Oversee on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and environmental regulations. Management and coordinate Design and Build Contractor (Consortium) to achieve the project milestones.
Quality Assurance : Implement robust quality assurance and control measures to guarantee the highest standards in construction and engineering.
Financial oversight: Monitor project finances, including budget allocations, expenditure, and financial reporting. Implement cost saving measures without compromising project integrity and quality.
Team Leadership: Build and lead a multidisciplinary project team, fostering a collaborative and results-driven work environment. Provide mentoring and guidance to team members, promoting professional development
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelors degree in civil engineering from a reputable institution
Minimum 20 years experience mostly in rail projects
Proven track record of successfully managing construction delivery of major Rail Projects
Extensive experience in rail construction and detailed rail engineering
Strong project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and risk management
Excellent leadership and communication skills
Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations
GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) experience preferred
