Job Description:
Project Director
Abu Dhabi, UAE
What You'll Be Doing:
Client and Stakeholder Management:
Serve as the primary company representative with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment with client requirements and company objectives.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, negotiating changes to scope, addressing concerns, and identifying opportunities for additional work.
Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, marketing, product, finance, legal, and delivery, to ensure cohesive execution of projects and bids.
Integrated Program and Bid Planning:
Oversee the development of comprehensive project and bid plans, including budgets, schedules, and execution strategies, ensuring alignment with client needs and organizational goals.
Establish and implement key project and bid documents, such as the Project Execution Plan, Health and Safety Plan, Quality Assurance/Quality Control Plan, and governance procedures.
Lead the end-to-end bid process, from opportunity identification and pre-RFP activities to contract negotiation and renewal, ensuring timely and compliant submissions.
Execution and Delivery:
Plan, direct, and supervise all business, technical, fiscal, and administrative functions of assigned projects, ensuring delivery within scope, budget, and schedule.
Mobilize and manage cross-functional teams, leveraging internal resources and expertise to deliver high-quality outcomes.
Monitor project and bid progress, identifying risks, resolving issues, and implementing corrective actions to meet or exceed performance goals.
Ensure technical and commercial excellence through the application of Quality Assurance processes and regular reporting to management.
Strategic Leadership and Innovation:
Develop and execute win strategies for bids, incorporating compelling win themes and value propositions that address client needs.
Provide strategic input into opportunity qualification, solution delivery, and commercial discussions, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
Leverage AI tools and prompt engineering techniques to drive efficiencies in bid and program management tasks, including content creation, tone adjustment, and task automation.
Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscapes, and relevant legislation, ensuring compliance and innovation in all activities.
Collaboration and Communication:
Facilitate regular meetings with project and bid teams to review progress, address challenges, and formulate action plans.
Coordinate and prepare client presentations, ensuring alignment with bid strategies and project goals.
Provide clear and concise communication to internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership, to ensure transparency and alignment.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Proven ability to deliver winning, high-value projects and bids, with 20+ years of experience in solution selling, program management, and bid management within rail, transportation and infrastructure.
Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate office-based and virtual teams.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience engaging with senior-level stakeholders.
Sound commercial understanding, profit and loss experience, and risk management expertise.
Familiarity with internal governance procedures, competitive marketplaces, and the use of technology in program and bid management.
Strategic thinker with the ability to integrate program and bid management responsibilities into a cohesive approach.
Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet challenging deadlines.
Collaborative and adaptable, with a commitment to delivering quality outcomes and driving continuous improvement.
