Job Description:

Project Director

Doha - Qatar

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Project Director to join our team! In this role you will get to Lead the Design delivery of world class Infrastructure projects.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Oversee all design managers, setting strategic goals aligned with the Country Manager and corporate strategy. Supervise managers and report progress and performance to the Country Manager.

• Ensure the delivery and overall success of design projects by establishing program requirements and checking deliverables for adherence to criteria.

• Oversee the creation of essential documents such as the Design Execution Plan, Health and Safety Plan, and Quality Assurance/Quality Control Plan.

• Act as the Company representative during design execution, negotiating changes to the scope of work with clients and key subcontractors.

• Collaborate with Business Development to market and secure additional design work with clients.

• Develop and distribute a project summary to all team members for reference.

• Work with key project individuals to devise and execute action plans to address potential cost overruns, delays, or significant changes to the scope of work. Advise the client and company management of any such changes.

• Promote technical and commercial excellence through the application of Quality Assurance processes.

• Monitor and report on the progress of all design activities, including significant milestones and any conditions affecting project cost or schedule.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from a reputable institution

• Minimum of 20 years of infrastructure experience, including a sound understanding of the design and regulations relating to various roadway typologies, wet and dry utilities, structures, public realm, and the environment.

• Thorough technical and business background.

• Significant project management assignments at a Program Director level ( Design delivery)

• Must have thorough knowledge of program management, capabilities, and skills in engineering principles, and have a strategic mindset of industry best practices and regulations.

• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to effectively communicate with clients, corporate, and their project managers on technical and non-technical subjects.

• Must have deep knowledge and understanding of roadway and infrastructure design principles, standards, and regulations.

• MME Registration is required.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• Master’s Degree preferred.

• Advanced leadership skills with the ability to perform in a management capacity.

• Supervise all projects and project managers involved to provide feedback and resolve complex problems.

• Devise evaluation strategies to monitor PMs' performance and determine the need for improvements.

• Thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations.

• Advanced knowledge of current technology and how it can be effectively utilized on the project.
