Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Project Controls Analyst to join our team! In this role you will get to Monitor, report, analyze and communicate on the financial performance of a diverse portfolio of projects.
What You'll Be Doing:
Provide guidance and training to project managers and project teams on project financial and operational matters. Identify and mitigate project risks and issues. Track and report on project costs, revenues, margins, and variances. Reconcile actual vs. budget/ forecasts per project periodically and perform necessary analyses.
Provide effective and accurate communication of key financial metrics through the development of estimates to complete (ETC), estimates at complete (EAC), program management reviews, and other project financial deliverables.
Accumulate and access historical data, such as burn rate analysis, for use in maintaining a realistic basis for future planning and forecasting. Update forecasts in corporate system.
Track employees and subcontractors incurred hours and dollars. Manage the reclassification of incorrectly coded expenses and labor to the correct project.
Ensure adequate funding availability and support timely requests for additional funding to the customer. Review Awards and Mods. Monitor funding backlog against ceiling.
Assist with reviewing government invoices for accuracy. Monitor Unbilled Accounts Receivable and identify
Assist with Purchase Requisitions and review charge codes for accuracy.
Support project audits and compliance reviews.
Recommend adjustments, such as redistribution of funds within budget accounts, in response to changes in programs, wrap rate changes, staffing levels, and/or funds available.
Audit monthly labor, ODC, material, and travel costs against ceiling & funding, ensuring accurate and timely billing.
Perform other duties as assigned.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Finance or Accounting, or related field (or equivalent experience)
5+ years of related work experience.
Proficient PC skills including proficiency in various Project Controls software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Costpoint experience.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
