Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Principal Database Developer to join our team! In this role you will get to lead the design and implementation of databases supporting our Threat Modeling & Simulation (M&S) analysis tools.
What You'll Be Doing:
Design, develop, and maintain logical database schemas to support Threat M&S Analysis
Write, optimize, and manage SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions to ensure efficient data retrieval and manipulation.
Collaborate with software developers, data analysts, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective database solutions.
Perform database performance tuning and optimization, including indexing, query optimization, and resource management.
Ensure data integrity and consistency through the implementation of best practices in database design and development.
Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues, including performance bottlenecks, data inconsistencies, and security vulnerabilities.
Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance to ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
Stay current with emerging database technologies and industry trends, and recommend improvements to existing systems and processes.
Document database designs, configurations, and procedures to ensure comprehensive knowledge sharing and maintainability.
Maintain and develop existing analysis tools such as Dr. Eval, Mission Metrics Analysis Tool (M2AT), and others as requested
Required Clearance:
Candidate must possess an ACTIVE TS/SCI Clearance
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with 12+ years' of experience
25+ years of experience working with relational databases such as Oracle, MySQL, SQLite, Microsoft SQL Server, and more
Previous experience with Dr. Eval and the Mission Metrics Analysis Tool (M2AT)
Understanding of Threat M&S including previous work supporting analytical studies
A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
Experience with C# / .Net development
Experience working as a Product Owner in an AGILE environment
Previous experience working with AGILE SCRUM
Familiarity with the Risk Management Framework (RMF)
Familiarity with Secure Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIGs)
