Job Description:
Parsons is seeking an experienced Planner - Saudi National to support project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, and reporting activities for a large-scale airport airfield and infrastructure development project. This role requires strong expertise in project controls, baseline schedule development, progress measurement, and coordination with multidisciplinary engineering and construction teams. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in planning and scheduling major infrastructure, airport, transportation, or EPC projects, with a strong understanding of construction sequencing, project controls methodologies, and schedule management practices.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Develop, maintain, and update project schedules in accordance with project requirements and delivery objectives.
- Support preparation of baseline programs, recovery schedules, look-ahead schedules, and detailed execution plans.
- Review project scope, work breakdown structures (WBS), and activity sequencing to ensure accurate project planning.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and project management teams to develop realistic project programs.
- Ensure alignment of project schedules with contractual milestones, key deliverables, and project objectives.
- Monitor project progress against approved baseline schedules and identify delays, trends, and potential risks.
- Collect progress updates from project teams, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Analyze actual progress, planned progress, productivity trends, and schedule performance.
- Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, and schedule performance updates.
- Highlight critical activities, delays, constraints, and recovery requirements to project management.
- Support planning activities for airfield and infrastructure works, including civil works, utilities, buildings, and associated systems.
- Review contractor schedules, work sequences, and construction methodologies.
- Assess construction progress and identify potential impacts on project milestones.
- Coordinate with site teams to validate progress information and resolve schedule-related issues.
- Support planning of construction activities, interfaces, and operational constraints within airport environments.
- Maintain project schedules using recognized planning tools and ensure schedule integrity.
- Perform critical path analysis, float analysis, and schedule impact assessments.
- Identify schedule risks, constraints, and opportunities for improvement.
- Support preparation of mitigation and recovery plans for delayed activities.
- Monitor changes, variations, and their impact on project timelines.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, commercial, construction, and commissioning teams to ensure integrated project planning.
- Participate in planning meetings, progress reviews, and coordination workshops.
- Support communication between project stakeholders regarding schedule requirements and constraints.
- Monitor interfaces between different disciplines and contractors to ensure timely delivery.
- Support integration of planning activities with cost control, risk management, and reporting functions.
- Provide schedule information to support risk assessments, change management, and decision-making.
- Assist in preparation of earned value analysis and performance measurement reports.
- Maintain accurate project records related to schedules, progress updates, and reporting.
- Review contractor baseline schedules, updates, recovery plans, and short-term programs.
- Assess contractor progress submissions and validate reported achievements.
- Identify inconsistencies, delays, and potential schedule issues.
- Support review of contractor claims, extension of time submissions, and schedule impacts.
- Prepare and maintain planning documentation, including schedules, progress reports, and planning registers.
- Ensure accurate records of project milestones, activities, and schedule changes.
- Support preparation of presentations for client, project leadership, and governance meetings.
- Maintain compliance with project reporting requirements and procedures.
- Ensure project planning activities consider HSE, quality, and operational requirements.
- Support integration of safety milestones, inspections, testing, commissioning, and handover activities into project schedules.
- Coordinate with project teams to ensure planned activities align with approved procedures and project standards.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related discipline.
- Relevant professional certifications in planning or project controls are an advantage.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in project planning and scheduling for major infrastructure, airport, transportation, construction, or EPC projects.
- Experience developing and managing project schedules throughout design, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.
- Experience working with multidisciplinary project teams and contractors.
- Experience supporting large-scale capital projects with complex interfaces and delivery requirements.
- Strong knowledge of project planning principles, construction sequencing, and project controls methodologies.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project or equivalent scheduling tools.
- Understanding of WBS development, critical path analysis, progress measurement, and schedule reporting.
- Knowledge of construction methodologies and infrastructure project delivery processes.
- Ability to analyze schedule performance and identify potential delays.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

- Knowledge of aviation project constraints and airside construction requirements.
- Experience working under FIDIC, EPC, design-build, or similar contract frameworks.

- Familiarity with digital project management platforms and reporting tools.
