Job Description:

Parsons is seeking an experienced Operations Specialist to join our Project Management Consultancy (PMC) team on a high-profile metro project. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring smooth operational coordination between stakeholders, monitoring progress, and supporting the implementation of key systems and processes to deliver a world-class metro system.

• Operational Planning & Coordination:

  • Collaborate with design, construction, and commissioning teams to align operational requirements with project milestones.
  • Develop and implement operational plans that meet the project’s functional objectives.
  • Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and third-party suppliers to ensure operational readiness.

• Stakeholder Management:

  • Act as the point of contact between the PMC team, client representatives, contractors, and government authorities.
  • Facilitate regular meetings with stakeholders to review progress and address operational challenges.

• System Integration & Testing:

  • Oversee the integration of critical systems such as CBTC (GoA 4), traction power, and auxiliary systems to meet operational standards.
  • Support testing and commissioning phases, including system validation and burn-in testing (e.g., trains and signaling systems).

• Performance Monitoring:

  • Monitor operational performance and recommend adjustments to ensure adherence to schedule, cost, and quality standards.
  • Use key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure operational efficiency and identify areas for improvement.

• Risk Management:

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with operations, including safety, cybersecurity, and system reliability.
  • Develop contingency plans to address unforeseen challenges during the operational phase.

• Compliance & Safety:

  • Ensure that all operational activities comply with relevant regulations, codes, and standards.
  • Promote safety best practices and contribute to the creation of a culture of safety and quality.

• Documentation & Reporting:

  • Prepare detailed operational documentation, including plans, reports, and manuals, for submission to the client and regulatory authorities.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to the PMC leadership and client representatives.
