Job Description:
Parsons is looking for a professional, energetic Senior PAI Methodologist. Our team is experienced, and we have a fast-paced environment filled with complex challenges. The work is expansive and touches a lot of technologies. We work hard, but you can be confident that we have a lot of fun, too.
Located just 2 hours outside of London, you’ll be working as an embedded Subject Matter Expert (SME) at our Molesworth facility as a member of a cohesive team. A spirited mission, collegial work environment, and unique international experiences await those ready to join our team.
What You'll Be Doing:
Leverage multiple research and data aggregation techniques and tools to discover and collect pertinent Publicly Available Information from the clear, deep, and dark web.
Analyze and interpret PAI data from multiple digital sources and determine mission-critical information surrounding Force Protection, Operational Security, Entity Resolution, Link and Social Network Analysis.
Suggest methodologies, develop the data schema for structured observations, and support visualization of the data collected to make informed data dependent assessments.
Interface with other team members on best practices for data analysis and to help understand, document, and prioritize material and non-material needs for analysis.
Conduct on-the-job training with other team members in support of research and analysis of PAI in the digital domain.
Possible short-term travel to support partner nation work or present and attend related PAI summits. Duration of the trips will be 1-2 weeks, with potentially 4 trips during the entire year.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
B.S. in Cyber Security, Information Technology, National Security or a related field and 3+ years of related experience.
B.S. in International Studies, Regional Expertise, Geo-Political or Socio-Cultural focuses are also considered.
3-5 years minimum experience in an Open Source or similar intelligence background.
Certified through BlackHorse Solution’s Cyber Advanced Support Operations (CASO) training. This may be completed immediately after hire.
Experience with a wide range of PAI research, including collection methodologies and understanding policy and authorities.
Expertise in advanced PAI analytical principles and a variety of tradecraft tools and platforms, including source identification, database manipulation, geo-enabled PAI, and knowledge or experience in the deep and dark web
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
Languages including but not limited to: Arabic, French, Somali and Hausa.
Familiarity with AFRICA related AORs.
Familiarity with data mining and analytical platforms such as, or similar to: Dataminr, Babel Street, Echosec, OpenIO, and Maltego.
Self-starter, driven to work independently or collaboratively, flexible, and accountable to stay up-to-date on the up-and-coming technologies related to PAI.
